" ... Hill may be one of the most interesting pitchers in the minor leagues in 2005. Despite the fact that his dominance was never reflected in his ERA (entered the season with a 4.23 career ERA), he has been one of the most overpowering pitchers in the minor leagues since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2002 draft. Hill used his dominant curveball to strike out a total of 297 batters in his first 221 professional innings, and he has taken it a step further this season. The 25-year-old southpaw began the year at Double-A West Tennessee, where he went 4-3 with a 3.28 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 57.2 innings. Those numbers earned Hill a quick promotion to Triple-A Iowa, where he recorded 14 strikeouts in just 6 2/3 innings in his first start."
