Update:

Saturday at noon is a go! We now have 12 teams (see below); it would also be nice to have a couple alternates on hand in case somebody is forced to drop out (you never know when a modem will decide to fry itself... ). Sign-ups as alternates would be appreciated, and alternates will receive preference in future mock drafts.

The format that will be used is as follows:

Serpentine draft
Two-minute time limit per pick (the less time used, the better)

The league format you should have in mind when drafting is:
5x5 roto (avg/r/hr/rbi/sb; w/sv/k/whip/era)

Starting lineups of:
1 C
1 1B
1 2B
1 3B
1 SS
3 OF
1 DH

4 SP
1 RP
2 P

23-man rosters; bench players may be of any position.

Assume daily lineup changes.

We'll be looking at a keeper league. Assume that you will carry 12 players of your choice over to the next season, and that players may be retained for up to three seasons.

No contracts.

One final detail: monster has asked to be allowed to draft first, since he has the first pick in his fantasy league this year and would like to use the mock draft as practice. I'm hoping that, since this is just a friendly mock with no stakes involved, nobody will have a problem with this - please let me know. Thanks!
