first inning HR for Albert. This guy is on fire. I hope he outdoes his rookie season. He's certainly capable of it.

I love Pujols, but with their offense, I think the best MVP bet is from San Fran. They'd be nothing without Bonds. Just my opinion though. Pujols isn't a bad choice either.

I somehow got Pujols in the 2nd round, 18th overall. Which is a good thing, considering I picked Giambi in the first round (d'oh). I'm treading water right now in the league, largely due to Pujols and Vernon Wells, can't wait till Giambi starts hitting.
When I found out I had pick #10, I was hoping he'd be there, and he was. I've read people saying he is baseball's best hitter behind Bonds. I'll have to re-evaluate his value next year when he loses 3B eligibility, but he still ranks with the elite OF.
After Vlad, Bonds, and Sosa, I'd put Pujols right in there with the next tier. If he is eligible at 1B and OF, I'd probably still take him at #10.
...and to think he would still be limited to pinch-hit duties these last few weeks if he wasn't such a badass.

I took Pujols withthe 3rd overall pick b/c of his position eligibility and his great potential. I'm not regretting that pick right now since the obvious choice at 3 was Johnson.
But I'm still in last place right now. Hope he stays hot for just another 4 months, that's all I need.
Pujols certainly doesn't get the Fantasy props he deserves. Many people say his value lies in his position eligibility. However, he'd be valuable anywhere. The only thing doesn't do is steal bases, and doesn't hit as many homeruns as Sosa and Bonds have. Still, his home run numbers have been solid, and he looks like he'll post even better HR numbers this year. Right now, the only OF ranked higher by ESPN in 5x5 leagues are Sheff and Everett.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Pujols led the the NL in RBIs and top 3 in BA and top 5 in runs.
