B Giles Home/Away splits

Away 23/69 16 5 20 1 9 45
Home 6/50 5 0 0 1 8 10

NO RBI's? I knew the move to a pitchers park would hurt him, but damn. FIFTY AB's and NO RBI's?

He's been benched on my squad for a while, but it actually seems he isn't so bad an option on the road - that is if you like to use a roster spot for half a player.

I already tried that, and no one bit. I'm going to wait a few more weeks and try again.

I wouldn't read too much into Giles' home/road splits at this point in the season. He's coming off an awful slump, but it looks like he's back on track. Look at his splits for 2004 and you'll see he actually hit BETTER at home in Petco. That doesn't make much sense, given the size of that park, but it shows how well he can hit there.

as sad as it is to say it, Giles might just be a half player to play from outside of Petco. Who knows whether he goes back to his old ways, but as long as he's hitting like this on the road, i dont care.

in other notes, preston wilson (who many though is having a bad year) is an beast at home.

I'm currently platooning them on my roster.
