He's back and reached base 4 times last night. What should we expect from him from here on out? is that injury a nagging one?

Before the injury i had him projected as at least a 20/20 guy with potential 30 HR power...

Wasn't he supposed to be amazing 6 years ago like Beltre...wait is this a contract year? how old is he 27? roids?

i know he's been around a while and has been prety decent though not spectacular... but his power has been impressive

I just grabbed him. He's got four games at Coors coming up, and with Wily Mo and Sosa down, I need some power in my lineup. He should be a good bet for the week, at least.

He is a very good pick up for Coors over the next week but nothing more than that. Certainly doesn't deserve a regular spot on anyone's roster. And at 31 his career BA of .250 will not improve so overall he hurts more than helps.

only if he runs. i thought moving to arizona this year from tampa would possibly increase his power #s and make him a 30 20 player, but the fool hurt himself si i don't think he'll steal bases much this year.

Cruz will go through some horrific slumps in all likelihood, but he's still a guy with some deep league value. Even with a mediocre BA, he'll get his HR's and should steal some as the D-Backs are pretty aggressive on the bases.

Always seems to start off well and then slow down. He's usually worth a shot short term but not all season long. Maybe trade him now (or soon) if you can get something good for him. A couple of years ago I traded him and Payton (at Col at the time) after their strong starts for Garret Anderson.

Ya know, for some reason I thought he was older, yet he just turned 31.

Cruz could be a nice surprise this season.
Combine Arizona's lineup with, that home ballpark and he could hit 20-25 easily. Thas basically 5 a month from here on out. Expect a BA somewhere around .260 but depending upon where he settles in the lineup, he could be a nice pickup in most 12 team leagues, I'd gamble.
