From everything I can see, I don't think Austin Kearns is a starter anymore. And this is coming from a Cincinnatian.
Maybe Slomo or some other Reds fans can shed some light on this.
After hitting 2 HR in 2 games (one as a pinch-hitter I believe), Austin Kearns has been riding the bench while Ryan Freel starts in RF for the last 2 games. And it's not like they need somewhere to stick him, so Kearns is the odd man out; rather, they've been playing Felipe Lopez (their backup SS) at 2B (where Freel can play) and leaving Rich Aurilla (horrible) in at SS. So basically, they've been choosing Aurilla and Lopez and Freel all over Kearns.
I don't know who it is, but it seems like somebody in Cincy doesn't want Kearns to play anymore.
