aurilia (starting in the 2-hole for some ungodly reason) just pulled up short, grabbing his hammy. watch this, because this could mean more playing time for freel. he's now listed as day-to-day with a strained hamstring.
on a side note, lopez is stepping up. this (aurilia's strained hambone) might be just the chance he needs to cement his role as the everyday shortstop.

yeah, yes...

Aurilia now on the DL, and Freel led off yesterday and got a steal and a run. Anyone else thinking he might be a great 2b from here on out?

If you need steals (7 in the last 2 weeks), he is even a better option now that Aurilia is DL'ed. I started him this week over Hairston (about to be dropped). Also, I might move him to MI and trade C. Izturis (when is he going to start to run???), after Vidro returns.

Everyone says I'm stupid. But, I picked up Womack to platoon with Freel. That gives me a 2B every day. Also, it allows me to platoon at 3B and OF.

I dont know about the situation in Cincy but why doesnt this guy start? If he is fast and can hit for average...I mean they have enough power hitters, wouldnt a fast guy be good?

there are a lot of good choices to platoon with Freel. You have to choose from who is available.

When Freel plays he puts up Steals, Runs, and average.
Now that Aurilla is on the DL, Pena is still on the DL, his playing time is going to go up.
