well, i drafted this guy in my 12 team league after missing out on all the shortstops. I hada ll but forgotten about him until i saw his name a realized what a talent he was in his rookie year. the sophmore slum occured, as it does to all hitters, so i figured he'd get back to his old ways during his 3rd year breakout campaign. add in , he was tearing in up in spring training and i thought i was set.
look at his numbers from his rookie year and he hit 287 with 17 Hr and 21 SB.
looking at those humbers and factoring in a slight increase in production, i thogut i would be stealing a potentila 20/20 guy.
hasn't been the case. he has 3 Hr and 3 Sb (albeit, 3 CS), and is hitting only 255. today he went 0-4 with 3k's.
is it time to release him or just wait. Any one watch him at times? what do you think.
Funny how you didn't mention who you're talking about throughout your post, at first I thought you were talking about orlando cabrera.
Angel Berroa isn't very good. I don't expect him to be worthy of a roster spot until he shows me something worthy of stashing on my bench.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

correct me if I am wrong, but doesnt 3HR and 3SB's project to 18HR and 18RBIS? pretty darn close to 20/20 Maybe he has a hot July and hits 4 or even 5, I don't know. But it looks like he is giving you exactly as you ecpected. As far as BA. Its early. a 12-25 week could send it right back to around .275 or so. ..
Actually I think it projects to around 15/15, the Royals have played 32 games, which is about a fifth of the season. Those still aren't that bad of numbers for HR or SB. The thing that worries me more is how poorly the KC lineup as a whole is doing and how it will have (and has) an effect Berroa's performance in R and RBI. For people that have Angel though there probably isn't much better out there though, so you'd most likely be better off sticking it out with him.

Didn't he close out the year last year pretty strongly? If he's 'underperforming' the first half this year, he could still turn out to be a great pickup. I'm solid w/ Furcal at SS but I think Berroa is worth keeping an eye on.
