There's a name that doesn't come up in these forums often. He's hitting. .310 with 5 HR and 20+ runs so far. He's had 3 straight multi-hit games. He's available at SS, LF and CF. With Hairston out, he'll probably get some time at 2B, too.
Is he worth dropping a guy like Alex Gonzalez (Cubs) for? He's played in 10 more games than Mora but with Hairston's problem, I can see Mora playing everyday.
Is this worth it or just a concurrent slump for A. Gon and hot streak for Mora that's got me talkin'?

He had nice power and speed numbers last year and I read that he thinks that his playing time will increase with more power so that is what he is working on. I know Baseball Tonight guys are in love with Mora and comment that he is in every Balt highlight. I traded A Gonzalez (NL) in a package (received D Cruz) so I could drop him and pick up Mora.

i picked him up as SS while Jeter was on DL. Should provide good numbers but nothing stellar, i agree that he is underrated.

My actual trade was A Gonzalez(NL), M MacDougal and T Wakefield and I received D Cruz, U Urbina and R Halladay. I didn't really need Gonzalez because I can start Jeter now so I am very happy with Urbina's 3 SV's this week and Halladay's win last night. Mora is batting 462 for me this week and got a sb last night.

Geez. If that guy would do that deal, maybe I'll offer him Piazza and Mo for Arod and Vlad.

Mora is a legitimate 20/20 candidate given a full time gig.... The only question is whether he is a .233 20/20 guy or a .280 20/20 guy. His past is not on his side, but he's worth a shot over guys that are pretty established mediocre players like a. gonzalez.
