Whats this guy's deal?
I thought he was supposed to be sleeper this year but he, like many tribal members, has failed to produce.
Will he turn it around and furthermore is his job in jeopardy with his lousy start?
Thanks in advance

He is a good player -- certainly not a great player. Last week on MLB.com some of the commentators wondered if 2004 was his career year.
However his job is fairly secure in that as poorly as he is playing, Boone is playing dramtically worse. Blake is the obvious plug-in at 3B.
His OF role may be in jeoparady when Gerut and/or JuanGone ever return.
He has been sitting on the FA wire in my 12-team since week 2.

Casey Blake frankly is just out of options. He's really not that good of player offensively, and when Gerut or Juan Gonzalez get back he's going to have his playing time cut into (him or Boone). Plus last year before Blake got hot the Indians where already pursuing Aaron Boone as a more permanent option for 3B. Maybe I'm just really down on him because of the bad year he's having, but when you aren't more than a September callup until your 29 it doesn't say good things about what teams think of you. Blake is a marginal marjor leaguer and probably did have his career year last year. The only thing has going for him is that he tends to get a lot of pitches per plate appearance, but that's not a fantasy stat.
