I really can't stand the guy, as he's become extremely annoying over the years. Not to mention the fact that ESPN has him host nearly everything nowadays.
Who actually likes this guy? I don't want to make this a racial thing but it's obvious that ESPN hired him to appeal the urban audience. The problem is that his references and catch phrases are so corny, oudated and "whack" that he appeals to nobody. He's no different than "Thirst", the miniature Sprite guy in the commercials with LeBron.
White executives come up with these insultingly obvious marketing strategies to attract inner city customers and what we end up with bland, watered down crap like Stuart Scott's act. I'm not even going to get into the whole glass eye thing.....
Well, I don't HATE him. I actually like the whole ESPN cast. There are guys I find annoying, and guys I can't stand listening too, but that's part of the fun. It'd be boring if everyone was the same, and no one showed their personality. You have to see the bad to enjoy the good....right?

I agree somewhat. I agree that different personalities is what makes the world go around, but in the case of Stuart Scott, what we are being fed is not a personality or style, it's a calculated marketing ploy. He's acting, basically....and badly, in my opinion.

He's definitely acting. He didn't always talk this way. The slang he's incorporating into his broadcast has gradually gotten worse the last few years. I still don't hate him, though.
