49 IP, 18 ER, 3.31 ERA so it's not my pitchers fault.

I'm playing with an innings limit, so it hurts bad.

With Benson going tomorrow, I'm not too confident.

I agree that Prior is vastly overrated. In a non-keeper league, the starting pitchers I would take over Prior include Schilling, Johnson, Pedro, Oswalt, Hudson, Zito, Mulder, Wood, Morris, Millwood, Mussina and Brown. Yes, he is good but is still not really proven over the course of a whole season.

Pretty short list for a vastly overrated player...Prior may not be superman, but you are comparing him to some pretty big talent. In a 10 team or bigger league he would be gold by your standards...Seems to me that unproven or not, he would be a must start if not just to see if he is indeed that damn good.

Even in a non keeper, hes still probably a top 10 guy.

You better not jinx Prior and make him your 10th victim. I'm finally starting to roll in the wins and scrap a few saves out as well. I need Prior (and Webb) to come up large tomorrow and keep things going.

I think Prior is solid. I can't knock a strategy that would be satisfied with a Wood/Millwood/Mussina/Morris etc. over him. That allows you to draft position players and grab the pitcher that falls to you.

Personally, I think he is a superstar, and will join Randy/Curt/Pedro among the fantasy elite very soon. My strategy targeted him in the late 3rd. As big a fan of Zito and Oswalt as I am, I couldn't justify taking them in the 2nd round. I took Prior at the end of the 3rd round, and haven't regretted it yet. I enjoy getting young SP's and watching them bloom. Gaining Prior made up for losing out on Zito and Oswalt. They grew up and moved out. Prior's my boy now.
