I picked him up after the first week of the season and this guy has done nothing but pay off for me. I thought about selling high on him but decided to keep him. Anyone have an estimate of what this guys stats will be this year.... my guess is:

80 15 75 15 .310 ... so basically Vidro with steals... what do u think ?

I think that looks ok. Maybe his average will end up lower, but I think it's fairly conceiveable that the guy could hit .300 or over, especially since half his games are at Coors. I don't know if he'll reach fifteen steals, but if he keeps leading off I suppose it's possible. Could also see him ending up with over 80 runs, but overall those predictions look pretty good

Yea, i find it pretty tough to gauge this guy. Was just going to play him at Coors but he has shown he can hit away also. He has some speed but 15 bags may be a little steep. This guy has a good eye for the ball, so i thnk he will hit for good average... and seems to have some power...

I think he will still be a contributer come the rest of the year, but he wont keep hitting the way he is right now. I'd sell high.

Please explain to me why he "wont hit like this" as the season progresses ? I'm lost... doesn't every rookie thats gonna make it in the MLB have a break out year - everyone i talk to says sell, but I just dont understand why he cant keep doing the same thing all season... he only sits one game a week... bats leadoff 2 games and second 2 games a week. Oh well, Im stickng with him... Soriano/Giles/Loretta owners wont deal so ill stick with Barmes (like Roberts owners).

I think Barmes will be a solid starter...you could do a lot worse with a 2b/ss eligible guy (you could be stuck with D.Jimenez!) :-P

I traded him and Casey for Sheets in an NL only. I have tons of offense already and needed pitching...

I didn't claim he was gonna pull a Ted Williams, I was just wondering whether you guys thought he would be as solid as lets say a Vidro/Castillo/Boone.

Clint Barmes has been sitting in my starting 2B spot for the past 2-3 weeks, in favor of Vidro who's been riding my pine (he is slumptastic right now). I'll be honest, I'm freaking stoked that this guy has been essentially keeping my team competitive in BA...or at least helping significantly.
