Anyone else worried about Manny?

Postby dajet00 » Sun May 08, 2005 8:41 pm

His 2004 second half stats were horrid and this is the worst April he has had in years (take away those TWO big games he has had and see what you come up with).

Plus, he got hit with a pitch today and was taken out of the game with people in scoring position.

Should I deal him now where his trade value is up there?

I'd say he has definitely started his decline. But, a declining Manny is still a stud.

I am. I'm entertaining offers at this point where as in the beginning of the season I was very hesistant to consider any trade that would include Manny.

It's very uncharacteristic of Manny to have such a low BA in April - let alone any month. Throw in the second half of last season and how can not make you wonder what's going on?

I'd trade him only if your league counts mental lapses on defense.

I wouldn't sweat his "slow" start. 2005 may not be a career year for him, but he'll get his numbers.

As for his leaving today's game after being hit, looked like dude got a charlie horse nothing to worry about IMO.

He is a production monster and I believe he will be fine. I would love to have him on any team I have.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

He'll put up good numbers but I'm trying to deal him and Smoltz for Guererro and Vazquez as we speak...
