why on earth did they move patterson back up to leadoff and hariston jr. down to 8th? hairston's OBP is .359, patterson's is .295. we're talking a leadoff hitter with a SUB-.300 OPB. common, guys!! don't you want someone on base for aram, lee, etc.??

Not really, while he's hitting better there than in the 2nd slot he's still not hitting well from the leadoff spot. .271/.327/.396 doesn't seem too great to me. Patterson is not a top of the lineup hitter, despite his speed.

Zambrano, I'm sure all the Dusty haters will be saying they left him out for too many pitches. But with the Cubs bullpen struggles he's the best option IMO.

i'm sure putting sub-.300 OBP players right in front of your high-OPS guys will decrease run production. if you've got data that says otherwise, i'd be very interested to see it.
