Wicked Weekend week 5

Well, started off w/ 2 picks left and won the first game w/ Beckett
throwing a gem against the craptacular Rockies!!!! So no matter what happens tomorrow, I live to see another weekend!!!!

For the record... Its awfully hard to get any work done at all on Sundays between WW/P3/LL as well as end of the week drama for my H2H leagues!!!!

Went 1-1 today and have 2 more picks for tomorrow.

Worst case, I survived another week.

A few people dodged the bullet this week by taking the Mets. Still could wind up with people getting knocked out this week though. Tomorrow will be interesting.

That would be me I was worried though when Pedro decided to start giving up HR's. Luckily the Brewers pen blew it.

Note my diatribe on the two picks I made. See, this is the week I should have been in Vegas. I would have cleaned up with those two picks.

This week was not kind at all to the players. Here's a few of the things I noticed:

Logan has become the first victim .

The Giants win in the bottom of the 13th inning saved David Marver from joining Logan in the elimination pile. David had 5 picks going into the week! Lost the first 4 games. He owes the Giants big time!

Lots of people without byes didn't submit picks and lost half their picks left as a result. I count 22 people that failed to get picks in that didn't have a bye left. A bit odd that so many people would forfeit half (or more depending on the rounding. IE: 5 picks left, no picks selected=only 2 picks left for next week) their picks.

Mpoland was leading big with 10 picks, yet only got 4 right.

Fatnub was tied for second with 7 picks left, yet only got 3 right.

Swingaway's picks were hidden (that's no fun ), so he could have 7 left, or zero, or anywhere inbetween.

Some looked at MrDirt as the favorite with 6 picks and his bye going into the week, yet he only got 2 picks right this week .

NewZealandFan is sitting at the top of the mountain right now, as he's the only person who got 5 picks correct (other than possibly Swingaway).

At least 24 people are down to their final pick (myself included went a nasty 1-3 this week, so I'm not looking down on anyone. This game is killing me too).

Anyhow, just a few of the interesting things I noticed this weekend. It was definitely Wicked for most of us.
