Mike Sweeney?!?! What a stud on a dud...

This guy can flat out hit. Ive seen him before but its been in the last couple of years when his back has been hurting. This year he came out and said he's never felt better. Im beginning to believe him. With a .320+ BA, 7HR, 28Rbi...What are people thinking of this guy? What should we expect for the rest of the year? I have about .315 30 110 70 5.

and hes doing all this without any help on the royals, just think about the possibilities for him on a team like Texas. I really hope he gets traded in mid season.

Its never been a question about talent. If hes healthy, hes golden. Just hope he stays healthy, and he gets traded. Yankees anyone? :-D

Are their serious rumors about him getting traded and does he want to get traded? As I remember a few years ago he didn't want to.

As much as I don't like the Yanks, it would really help me if he was traded to them. Tino/Giambi aren't getting it done, Sweeney is an upgrade over them any day.

I think that's the biggest question mark. I seem to rememer goofy things about his contract with the "escape clause" and a funky no trade clause. Doesn't his no trade clause have a few teams listed where he can be traded too? I seem to remember reading things about him liking California. Any KC fans know how Sweeney's contract is worderd? Or am I just delusional about this contract thing... :-?

Would it be ridiculous for me to use him as part of a deal for Pujols? I mean he is putting up crazy numbers. Will this continue or would it be smart for me to sell high? I know the guy can hit, but his injury histroy scares me.
