In the beginning of the year, the concern was with his knee, but its completely healthy now, i assure you. As far as taking Prior over Mauer, there was no assurance that he would even sign with us since the Twins don't have alot of extra cash to throw around. Plus, i wouldn't pass up a catcher who will be a .320+ career hitter.
Uh, most catchers can play 2 games in a row. Many times Mauer doesn't. Even if its 2 night games, he'll sit the next day. And he certainly won't go day after a night, like most catchers.
I agree Joe's knee is not completely fine but he has caught 2-3 games in a row multiple times already.

What exactly has Prior won for the Cubs already? Maybe i am wrong but im pretty sure he has only had 1 good year so far. I think the Cubs management should be begging Min for tips on how to build a team. Give Min an equal salary structure and it would be a scary team. Last i checked the Cubs havent won anything in a very long time. Or did i miss something?
