The Cubs already have six players on the disabled list, including reliever Joe Borowski, who faced one batter and struck him out for Triple-A Iowa in a Minor League rehab outing Wednesday. Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said he thought Borowski needed more innings and wasn't ready to be called up yet.
Since when does Hendry know anything about baseball except how not to spend? While I do agree with his "no need to sign players to long contracts" theory - he shouldn't be judging a DL assignment timeline. He's not qualified.

Once again...KFFL....
May 13 The Chicago Daily Southtown reports Chicago Cubs RP Joe Borowski (wrist) will not likely be activated for the series with the Washington Nationals, as MAN Dusty Baker wants him to get more rehab innings. Borowski was to pitch for Triple-A Iowa May 10 and 11, but he only saw limited duty due to rain.
Look for him to make his first MR appearance no later than Tuesday @ Pitts.
