May 11 The Chicago Daily Southtown's Jeff Vorva reports Chicago Cubs RP Joe Borowski (wrist), who is recovering from a fractured right wrist, is scheduled to throw for Triple-A Iowa Wednesday, May 11. If he gets through that game with no problem, he could join the parent club shortly thereafter.
Can ya' tell I'm lookin' forward to his return. I need the damn DL spot
the DL spot would be nice, but i need the saves more than anything
The Cubs already have six players on the disabled list, including reliever Joe Borowski, who faced one batter and struck him out for Triple-A Iowa in a Minor League rehab outing Wednesday. Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said he thought Borowski needed more innings and wasn't ready to be called up yet.

Trying to pitch his second game on back-to-back nights, Joe Borowski faced only one batter in his rehab appearance Wednesday before the game was called due to rain, according to the Daily Southtown. As a result, he likely will not be activated from the DL this weekend, so he can get some more rehab work.

I am expecting him back next week...and I must say I'm glad they're giving him time to get loosened up in the Minors. Also, I am not going to be activating him right away....I would honestly like to see a successful save first before I activate him.
