i saw that. it doesnt really go to much into the methodology he used so its hard to critique it.

I was hoping somebody had more information. But am I the only one who already doubts the findings?

I thought for sure this was article about LaTroy Hawkins .. ;-)

as for the study, one thing that immed. stands out to me is the fact that he included late innings in his study. If a player bats around the go ahead run in the 6th inning, and no other runs are scored, inst that player just as "clutch"

Wow, a 1/4 page article. This must be true! :-b

Also... it sounds like there were only clutch hitters once they included sac flys. Why would you do that?! Nobody "tries" to hit sac flies.
