Hey guys. This trade I made yesterday was vetoed and I'm pretty ticked off about it. -
My
Pettitte
For his-
Figgins
My opponent has Figgins on his bench almost everyday because he's covered on steals and his lineup is doing great. I have no steals coming in, my lineup needs someone with his position eligibility, and I thought I could stand to go from 7 starting pitchers to 6.
I thought I got a fairly good trade, but the last two trades I've made with this manager were in his favor and we both knew it, so he didn't fight this one. Plus it honestly improves both our teams.
I'm steaming mad. The commish himself doesn't even respond to trade offers I make him and I think he's jealous his team is doing poorly... me and the manager making the trades are dominating the league. It's not like we're having a private party... no one else will respond to trade offers.
Should this trade have been vetoed? Should I convey my displeasure somehow?
Looking at it from here it is a bad trade. When you see the teams, im still getting a big advantage, but they wanted that pitcher.
As long as there is no plans of foul play, vetos shouldnt happen. Whos to say Sabathia doesnt go nuts this year and Rollins plays poorly.
While past numbers dont show this, theres always that chance. And if a veto stopped someone from getting what they wanted and it did happen, you would start all kinds of trouble.

tried the league veto thing once, and it just does not work. When you can just vote no and stop two teams you are competing with from getting better without any accountablity, it is just too easy for the normal guy to pass up.
