Could you explain your order a little bit? I'm just trying to get ideas. I put Walker ahead of Burrell and the others because of the Colorado factor, and the fact that Walker is still one of the best hitter if he's healthy.

something to keep in mind if you are in a H2H league is that someone like Larry walker will drive in 100+ rbis but only play 130 games of the season. If he's out for a two week stretch then that is a LOT of runs you lose to 2 opponents and it will cost you if you don't have a deep bench? You have to look at durability and production and then look at the rest of your team to determine if the player is worth a high pick.
in roto it doesn't matter. if you get 100 rbis in 120 games then that's perfect! that means you have 42 other games to play someone else.

I like Chipper and Abreu equally well. As I said, if it was a keeper I would choose Abreu hands-down. But for a one-year draft I would take Chipper, Abreu as the second. Beltran had an excellent year last year and I think he'll do it again, but being in KC does hurt him a bit. I only put Burrell ahead of Walker because, as you said, Walker is one of the best hitters if he's healthy. It seems he's always hurt--he hasn't had 500 AB since 1997!
Looking at it again, I would probably move Giles ahead of Gonzalez. I never really liked Gonzalez, and aside from his 57 HR in 2001, he isn't really even in the same league as these guys.

I wouldn't go as far to say he's not in there league. I mean, those 2000 and 2001 seasons showed that Luis is one of the best outfielders in the game. The more I think about it, I'd probably put Giles ahead of Walker, and take my chances otherwise. You're right about the injuries.

I think it really depends on what kind of league you were in....for example, in my 6 x 6 league, where the 6th category is OBP, I would probably rank 'em like this:
Abreu
Chipper
Giles (remember, had 15 steals himself)
Beltran
Burrell (I actually like him more than Beltran, could go either way)
LuGo
Walker (way too scary at his age with his history)
Sheffield
Beltran is the most overrated of group. Hes never posted a 900 ops, his value is his sb. Reasons to be cautious of Carlos. At a more normal 550 abs, his stats arent nearly as impressive. Hes averaging 627 abs his last 2 years. His G/F ratios indicate possible power downside. Last year Giles tied Beltran at $34, Abreu 33. This year Carlos is projected at 28, Abreu 35, Giles 40.
Clearly i think its either Giles or Abreu. I dont think the other 6 merit a argument for #1.
