I completely agree on both. The reason I had him so high was for his K totals, not the saves totals. And having pitched so many innings last year, and then in the playoffs, unless he has the liveliest arm in baseball, health issues had to be a concern for this year.
This has been harped on, but he is BRAD LIDGE!! Stop worrying.
I do think its funny though, if anyone saw sportscenter earlier today, Peter Gammons was asked who the best right handed reliever in the National Leage was. His response???
Turnbow!!!

Nope. He's been sick (and I mean had a virus, not the new "sick" slang junk). He will be fine.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I personally think he will be fine, but these other concerns are up there. But the guy is a horse. However, I made a mistake in projecting his k's -- visions of 140 were dancing in my head. So I started to think about it, and realized he has a decent amount of stints that went over 1 inning last year. Now that his role is different than it was some of the year, I think he logs less appearances and is more on the order of 100 or 110. Great. But I sold him on his bigger mental projection. I'd not worry about it though.

Not only was it likely that his save opps. were going to be reduced closing for such a poor offensive team, there was also a strong chance he spends some time on the DL this season.

Just from the fact that he pitched so many innings last year then was coming in for the two inning saves with alarming frequency in the playoffs, people can't help but think that he will have at least some kind of nagging injury, possibly leading to DL time. At least that's my philosophy on him.
