None of the closers who have settled in this year (Lyon, Batista, Turnbow) are in danger of losing their jobs; Turnbow has been fantastic with all these wins, especially for those of us who often forget to rotate in starters
Every closers blow saves, even gagne. When you have a bullpen like the brew crew does, a guy who could throw heat with a 99mile fastball closing isn't such a bad idea, even though their bullpen has been incredible so far. Don't worry, I see Turnbow keeping the job for the season.
Shame I don't own Turnbow. I'd use that #1 ranking to move him to an owner who doesn't realize just how worthless the Yahoo ranks are.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Sure glad I grabbed him for a $1 at the end of my draft...figured he would get a chance this season for some saves, just never figured it would be this early
He's been looking great so far, and with 3 wins and 4 saves (with 13 K and a 1.88 ERA and .91 WHIP) in 14 innings, he's in absolutely no danger of losing his job based upon giving up a homer to a good hitter. To the contrary, if indeed his new delivery has fixed some of his control problems, he'll not only have the closers job locked down all year, but might actually finish with top-tier numbers. He certainly has wicked stuff. The Brewers will certainly be scrapping for wins, which would put him on the mound quite a bit.
Glad I picked him off the FA list right after he picked up his first save.
I am the Master. Don't question the Master. Just do what he says and be proud.
