Simple question... with the injury being more severe (now DL) and a slow start, what is Thome worth now? Is he still an elite player, or do you think this will be a bust season?

I'm asking because he was just dropped in my league and I have #1 waiver. (Please do not move/lock this, I'm not looking for pickup advice). If anyone has projections of him coming back and still batting in the .270-.280 range with 40 jacks, I'd like to know.
Help please:

Harden- 2.15 ERA, 7.61 K/9
Peavy - 2.89 ERA, 10.10 K/9

I don't know if he can hit 40 but I can see him coming back and still getting .280 would 30 HRs. I think in H2H this is a slam dunk because getting Thome for free could be a blessing down the home stretch. In roto it would really depend on my situation but it would be tough not to pick him up.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I still consider him a top player and there is no way he should be on the WW
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis
