Well, the toast is up over 15K now... unfreakinbelievable!!!!! Other than the GoldenPalace Casino's purchases, how many of these things actually end w/ money changing hands? If the 15k doesn't pan out is he actually gonna get taken to court to enforce the contract for the sale of a piece of toast? or does the bidder just get booted off of ebay?
Yeah, the seller needs the buyer to pay the shipping costs since it's only $15K for the piece of toast.
Lol.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
CNN.com wrote:ATLANTA (AP) -- Maybe hot sauce is the cure for cold feet.
"Jennifer's High Tailin' Hot Sauce," a nod to the saga of Atlanta runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks, has sold briskly since its debut Wednesday.
"I'm in the hot sauce business and this is the hottest thing I've got right now," said "Pappy" David Ryan, who runs Pappy's Peppers in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The label for the habanero hot sauce shows a fast-moving bride grabbing her veil. On the back is a warning: "This sauce may cause you to seek intense professional help ... voluntarily."
Ryan says he's sold 10 cases of the private-label sauce.
And he's not the only one cashing in.
Herobuilders.com, a Danbury, Connecticut-based manufacturer, has sold out of its first batch of 250 Runaway Bride action figures at $24.95 each.
The 12-inch-tall figures feature a dark-haired smiling woman in jogging pants and a midriff-baring jogging shirt that says "Vegas Baby." She's carrying a colorful towel similar to the one Wilbanks wore over her head before boarding a plane to Atlanta.
"Get your Runaway Bride today before they run out," quips the blurb on the website.
"It's an unbelievably incredible story," said Emil Vicale, who owns Herobuilders.com. "We had over a million hits in one day. That's never happened before."
Wilbanks items have also flooded eBay since a man, Perry Lonzello, auctioned off a slice of toast carved with a drawing of the runaway bride for $15,400.
The winning bidder has refused to pay.
What!?! Someone won't pay $15,000+ for a slice of toast???
