I have no predictions, but I picked him up on almost every team I have. I am not expecting big things from him, but if he does produce big atleast I got him on my team. I didn't drop anybody that wasn't easily replaceable in order to get him. Also, who knows how long Thome will really be out.
I'm interested to hear everyones take on Howard as well. I could use the extra juice if he performs like last year, but I don't really have any obvious droppable players...
I hope he comes up, kicks arse, and gets traded to a team that will play him. I think Houston, the Yankees, and the White Sox could all use a guy like that.

Yeah that was my thought as well. Guess they are taking a bit of a gamble by calling him up but think it is the right call.
We all know he can rake. But he K's a ton and according to BA, he has been a bit older for his league. He is what they are missing right now and we'll find out exactly what type of hitter Howard really is. Will he step up and justify his demand for a trade? Or is he just another AAAA power hitter?

I've been on this bandwagon for a while. Drafted the kid in my points league as Thome insurance (good thing!) He has outstanding power. If he can keep the Ks down, they will HAVE to find a way to keep him in the lineup. If Thome proves he's healthy, watch Howard get moved for a good CF and/or C prospect.
