I drafted Rowand, but not too early. He was one of the last centerfielders taken in my league (outfield positions are separated in our league). In hindsight, it looks like a stretch to expect anything near what he did in '04 to happen this year:
2001: .293/.385/.431, .816 OPS
2002: .258/.298/.394, .692 OPS
2003: .287/.327/.452, .779 OPS
2004: .310/.361/.544, .905 OPS
2005: .237/.308/.355, .663 OPS
He made a big jum from '03 to '04 and will likely drop back (trampoline effect). He should definitely improve from his slow start this year, but I don't see another .544 SLG from him.
