It has Orlando Bloom, so I'm a bit put off. I love Liam Neeson, though, and Ridley Scott is a fantastic director in this sort of movie.

I think I'll just go see Hitchhiker's Guide again, though, with the rest of my family this time (I went to see it alone on opening day).

No way. Orlando Bloom as the masculine lead actor? Not buying it. I picture him as a deft elf or a skinny, wussy like in Troy. There's no way you could convince me that a guy built like me is going to lead an army in that era.

Looks pretty cool I might check it out, but it seems in the previews that they stole a lot of battle scenes from LOTR and the scenery and birds eye views of the battles look exactly like LOTR also

Why? Too much violence for your pansy self? :-b
The movie looks pretty awesome, and I'll overlook Bloom as the lead actor. Maybe he'll get killed by a Muslim. :-D

It completely escapes me how Bloom keeps getting cast as the lead in this stuff, the guy is terrible and he has one "acting" face. It drives me nuts, everytime he has to "act," he gets this look on his face where he grimaces and gazes off into the distance like he's deep in thought. And that's his repertoire right there. Pitiful. I hope he gets skewered by Liam Neeson.

Well, Neeson is his father, and I think he bites it earlier in the film, so I don't think that will happen. Maybe Saladin will behead him. :-D
