I mean, after his hot start, you would think he would cool of a bit, but not get THIS cold. He has 4 hits in his last 32 at-bats. WHAT HAPPENED!!! Is he back to waiver wire material or what? Any thoughts?
He is young, and will therefore go through slumps. Anyone expecting him to continue like he was, is in for a big surprise. Truth is, he's good, but not that good.

true that, hot and cold streaks are what it's all about, even high avg. players are going to cool down for a week or so, but in the end it's all about the end result.

Acutally, I would argue that it's all about playing the guys at the right time, not the end result... especially when it comes to waiver wire guys.
I'm tending to stay out of that Houston OF carousel. I wouldn't hesitate to drop him.
I still think 30 HRs is a real possibility, but I doubt that his current SB total is anything more than an aberration.
By the way, anyone take a look at his split stats? He's hitting only .120 vs. lefties, yet .348 vs. righties. A bit odd for a guy who bats right-handed, but maybe it's just the small sample size. Anyone who has seen this guy hit have any insight?
