I have little issue with the players ON the list... but omgwtfbbq is with the order?!

How is Burley (he's not good enough for me to learn to spell his name) doing at #2?

It should be Johan, Prior, Sheets, Harden as the top 4. You can lobby for Peavy too. But... wow.

how is A.J. Burnett not on this list

Postby arkk22 » Tue May 03, 2005 6:47 pm

imo, he is badly overlooked cuz of his injury background...but back, fully healed, with the best fastball in both leagues...Cliff Lee over A.J. Burnett...cmon

Peavy's a top 6 pitcher in all the major leagues, let alone "youth".

BTW, just to make this a LITTLE less absurd...

Oswalt, Wood, Burnett, Hudson, ect are all over 27. The age cutoff seems to be 26 for the article.

Ya buerhle at 2 is crazy. No way he should be ahead of Sheets, Prior, Beckett, Peavy, or Harden.

I disagree.

Randy, Santana, Prior, Oswalt, Hudson, Sheets, Harden all get votes ahead of him in my book. Schmidt and Pedro would in most people's books.

Of course, that is all injury-pending... but I remember Peavy missing some time last year too.
