It is tough to debate this because everyone in this forum is/was entitled to their opinion on RJ vs. Santana...and really, everyone had a 50/50 shot at being correct. So gloating doesn't go over well (as I found out when I gloated about beltre blowing).
Rynman makes my point about RJ's injuries being more foreseeable than the average major leaguer's....

The main reason this thread is pointless is because I think the majority of people would have taken Santana over RJ if given the choice anyway... I know I would have...

rj will be fine. LIke someone says his whip is under 1, and he has a k/9 of 8.93. O yah and his last outing he pitched a complete game. Way too early to be patting yourself on the back. Doesnt anyone remember what santana did after the all star break last year??
