Somebody help me on him. This is the first year I have had Chavez on my team and I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed at this point. He has literally done nothing but K it seems like.Does he always start slow and heat up as the season progesses or do we suspect a down year from him. I have Inge behind him but I prefer to use him as my catcher.

Historically, he has been more of a second half player so just be patient.

yeah, it's getting frustrating. i originally had chipper in the OF but moved him to third over chavez until chavez heats up. now that chippers been out for sometime, i've been having to play chavez.
but i'm gonna hold on to him. not gonna sell low cause he'll heat up like people are saying. we're just gonna have to wait.

I've always liked drafting a slow starter or 2 so that when some of my guys that come out smoking begin to cool off hopefully my slow starters will pick them up to balance it all out and keep the train rollin. Always look to buy low on stud guys struggling early and sell high on the guys that you think can't keep up their torrid start so that you minimize the roller coaster effect.

I also have Batista that I would like to trade or do you think it doesnt matter?
Try and deal Batista for Huff?
Batista for Huff would be an absolute steal.
If you cant get that then Wagner for Chavez is fair and even.

The Chavez situation reminds me of TEx last year to some degree....He was so cold up until late June and then started crushing the ball. A lot of people in the cafe said the same thing, "be patient." That was the best advice I got last year and boy did it payoff, helping me win my 10 team AL Only League.
