when is Beltre going to show some power?

I dunno, if he hits 35 HR given that he's only hit a couple so far, the 'density' of the HR when they come is still VERY attractive for H2H...If I can be in 2nd place w/ what Beltre's done so far, some HR may make the difference....*fingers crossing some more*....

It's the first month of the season. For the first two weeks, Beltre was hitting 300+ with good RBI and run totals. At that point, we didn't hear any "I told you sos." His BA has cratered in the last two weeks because of an awful slump. Now, predictably, we hear the chorus of "I told you sos." If he doesn't shape up in the next month, then I'd start to get worried. Until then, however, Beltre is just one of the many top players undergoing a troublesome first month. Todd Helton is batting like 275. Enough said.
I am the Master. Don't question the Master. Just do what he says and be proud.

As far as I told you so's...this was really the first thread (other than burrell) where it has come up. I'm not one to start a thread to gloat.

And, Beltre is no Todd Helton...

Bases Loaded, 2 out, down 3-1 against Angels.... ball one, strike looking, strke swiging, foul tip (outside), swing and miss (way outside).... this guy is freaking PRO?????

I have no choice but to keep this knucklehead as I am in a deep league and 3B aren't so eary to find, but right now I am really really disappointed.

i saw some of his strikeout swings on espn tonight, and WOW. There was one that was just flat out embarrasing, just flailing his arms at the ball 3 seconds after the ball was in the catchers mitt

I have to agree...that one rivalled some of Sammy's 'fishing expeditions' last year...waving the bat around, rather than swinging AT it...ugh!! :-?
