He has been dropped to 3rd in the order with Sanchez leading off tonight.

they said Tb was thinking about making this move. i still think it should hurt his sb production but it's hard to say how long he'll stay there.

Why will it hurt his SB production? Fewer at bats? Slower runners on base in front of him, blocking his path to second? I doubt Lou is going to stop running him no matter where he hits.

hopefully it won't but he will have runners on in front of him at times and theree may be times when there are 2 outs and they decide to hold him up for huff batting clean up..not like he couldn't score from 1st on a hit with his speed.

that's totally a steal situation. you think crawford can score from 1st on a huff single to the outfield? i know crawdaddy is fast but

- it makes more sense to have him steal 2nd and then be able to score on a hit by huff, rather than leave it in the hands of josh phelps

he just stole 2nd off Mussina, i wouldn't worry about it. Lou has nothing else to do and most likely bored, Crawford will be running.

this is classic. i have not read a better description of Lou's management style in a long time...
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

it's the right move if you ask me... who wants a career .315 OBP guy in the leadoff spot? Not me!
Now if only they would bring Gathright back and toss him in at leadoff...
