well here is a team that will test your patience ..

I count at least four of your bats that are slumping ..
and one big bat on the DL ..

patience ...

as for your staff ..

it is solid.
I would trade a Starter for one more closer, heck maybe even package in Herges. ;-)

overall, I would say patience is best. If you haven't moved up by this time next month, then lets talk. Especially with those bats. They are good bats.

Gotta chime in and join the 'patience' chorus: this simply isn't a last place team. Apart from the suggestions made so far, I'd consider sticking a fork in Brown if a viable interim closer or starter shows up on the wire.

Castillo's back, but I'd probably hang on to Utley for now. Sending out trade inquiries to teams with Womack, Matsui or perhaps Boone might be worth a shot.

And if you can land crawford, go for it. :-)

I agree with everyone else so far, that lineup should be fine once everyone remembers that they're supposed to hit. See what you can get for Sabathia though. He's a good pitcher, but I don't think he's as good as what he's done so far, and you've got a great rotation without him. You may also want to deal Castillo (once he gets rolling, and I think he will) or Utley since you've got two quality 2B, a luxury most probably don't have. Hopefully that at least gives you something new to think about. :-D

EDIT: Just read GM's reply, so I guess I'm not really giving you anything new at all. :-° :-D
