So far he's done a great job as the Dodgers closer but what happens when Gagne gets back?
With so many teams struggling to find solid closers, does Brazoban have any trade value? I know he has only really closed for a month so it is difficult to make sound comparisons, but for that month he has been one of the top closers in the league. Are the Dodgers going to keep him as a back up closer and make him a set up man, or do you think they will test the market to see if he has any trade value.
So assuming Gagne returns to good health and Brazoban continues to do a good job as a closer prior to then which option is more likely:
1. back-up closer and set-up man
or
2. dangle him around as trade bait.
He'll be the set-up guy for Gagne, and closer if EG gets hurt again.
No way da Bums deal him. He's cheap, young and effective in either role.
For fantasy purposes, he's got solid trade value in a holds league; he has some value in 5x5 for his peripheral numbers and the fact that he's one Gagne tweak away from closing again. If you are considering moving him, put the feelers out immediately to see what your league-mates think of him. His value may not be higher.
either one would be a welcomed site in Chicago. I dont see much happening though because they will keep YB around until Gagne proves he will not return to the DL. If fantasy people are willing to fill a bench spot for this reason, you dont think a real team will?

Hold on to Brazy..
Interesting theory...I don't think I will jump to conclusions like that, but I agree that he has the traits of one. I'll hold on to Brazoban for a while after Gagne comes back.
There is no doubt in my mind that Gagne was/is a product of roids...it just fits together all to well if you go back through his history. I am not saying he isnt hurt, but that he would be on the DL even if he wasnt to avoid testing. No way he or the Dodgers want him exposed.

What makes you believe that Gagne was doing roids? Do you have any evidence other than your 'gut' feeling?

Yea I injected him. Of course I dont have any proof. It is just my opinion.
