I'm heading to Baltimore on business from Wed - Fri this week. I am staying within walking distance to Camden Yards and already have tix for Wednesday's afternoon game. Can anyone recommend any good places to go or things to do in the inner harbor area? Thanks!
Right near the ballpark are bars like Pickles Pub and Sliders, pretty popular pre-game spots. On Pratt Street across from the convention center are Max's at Camden yards, the wharft Rat, and DSX. These places are not quite as packed and a little better to grab a pre-game bite to eat. There's the usual street vendors all aroudn the outside of the park for that too.
Popular night spots include Power Plant Live (twenties crowd) and Fells Point. You can also check out Canton and Federal Hill.

Overrated and overpriced...if you want a good crab cake there are plenty of smaller less expensive places to check out.
Regi's in Federal Hill (on light street) has a good crabcake
Or catch the water taxi or regular old taxi and head across town to Fells Point. There are tons of places over there with much better seafood than Phillips'
As metioned above, there is a lot of night life stuff around the inner harbor north to Fell's point. The great think about Baltimore is that it is dirt cheap in terms of going out on the town, at least compared to places like DC, NYC, SF, LA or even Philly. Everything has a pretty blue collar feel, which is also a nice break if you hail from some of the more stuffy places above. ESPNZone is, I am sure, a rip off in Baltimore as it is everywhere else.
Most of the city is a dump, but the part around the inner harbor is quite safe.
i was there for Yanks series couple weeks ago...Fells Point for bars. take a cab from harbor , under $10. Power Plant for younger crowd bars (although i am 30 and didn't feel like the old guy), good dualing Piano Bar there i forget name, sounds gay but it's a blast.
was worth the $8.00 to go in Submarine , $ includes couple other ships also.
Federal Hill (park) nice for walk and good view of harbor
Bars outside stadium get pretty crowded few hours before game, on weekend anyway.
there is IMAX theatre in Science Museum, natural disaster flick that is pretty cool.
Museum with offbeat , unusual exhibitions. (like homeless guy who makes art out of spoons & forks, painting made by guy with no arms and no legs , etc) it's next to Federal Hill
