Dont trust Stattracker

Postby Blueberries » Mon May 02, 2005 8:57 am

i almost got burned by Yahoo's Stattracker last night.

At 6 PM, i was winning the avg. category by .254. to .248.

Since i already had won HR, RBI and Runs, i decided to leave J. Guillen on the bench last night. I thought it was a done deal.

This morning, the final result is .249 to .248

I almost lost it! (and Guillen was 2 for 3).

This is just to let you know about it. Be careful.

Perhaps all the games weren't finished.

Stattracker went crazy for me today, just before they updated the site, I check it and it had today's stats but against next weeks opponent, just one day. Of course I was losing that day too. :-o

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

I hate the new stattracker. The classic one doesn't load so I have to tolerate it.

Sometimes my stattracker likes to double pitchers stats for Innings/K's... it makes no sense at all and is really confusing when Im looking at someones team and it says Morris pitched 14 innings or something with 8 Ks.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. One day a couple of weeks ago I was ecstatic because I thought Oswalt struck out 15, then I saw they had him pitching 17 innings or something like that in a 9-inning game. :*)

it wasn't stattracker's fault (the doubling of stats). That was a mistake in the yahoo database that the stattracker feeds off of. if you looked at the game boxscores on yahoo you would have gotten the same damn result.
