Maybe because the AAA player in question led the minors in homeruns last year?

Maybe because he was MVP in A ball in 2003 and MVP in AA ball in 2004?

Maybe because he's batting 316/423/570 in AAA?

Howard wil lgive them a hell of a lot more than playing Polanco everyday, and moving Utley to 1B.

a little update...nothing major ..

Manuel said he spoke with Thome on the phone and that his first baseman was feeling better. The plan is for Thome to begin swinging off a tee this weekend
