With his hot start and being known for slow ones, how good will his numbers be at the end of the season?

He is a streak player.
With his uncharecteristic hot start expect a career year but not the MVP type numbers he is putting up.
I'm thinking .290-.300 AVE, 35-40HR, 115RBI, 90R, 12SB at best.
He has been in the league long enough that even being a warm weather hitter, he isnt going to sustain his unprecedented pace.
Veterans with his career splits always seem to have their numbers level out after hot and cold streaks bye years end.

Well, I know he won't be an MVP, but I was just wondering if he'd be a top 5 1B that I should try and get right now while the owners are figuring out why he's doing so good.

as an owner of d.lee, i'd say right now is NOT the time to try to acquire him, you'd be way overpaying for him. he's one of the best fantasy players right now, wait until he cools down then maybe go for him. i wouldn't sell him right now unless for something well over his avg. value.

i don't know what the final numbers will be, but he has a good chance at being the top 1B this year with Thome and Helton's slow start.
