Both guys are off to great starts. Who will have the better year?

Probably Roberts, because of steals. But I don't think a .300+ average and 100 rbis are too much to expect from Vidro, who is often undervalued in drafts.

as much as I don't think Roberts will keep up this incrredible pace, I still would rather have him then Vidro because he will be stealing bases and scoreing runs all year.

I know Vidro is capable of hitting .300, but what about Roberts? He's been a career .270 hitter to this point. Do you think he will hit .300 this year?

i've never really liked roberts and i've always like vidro. so i would obviously pick vidro. however i applaud roberts for his great start and hope he doesnt make me look like an idiot for bashing him.

I had Roberts listed over Vidro to start the year and I still rate him higher. Even if Roberts goes back to just being a lead off hitter with 30 SB I think Vidro has seen his best years already and they weren't all that great.

My assumption is that you are talking from this point forward. In this case, I tend to chalk Roberts' start up as a Jack Wilson type of one month explosion that is not sustainable.
I would expect BA to have a large advantage in BA from now to the rest of the season and a modest advantage in HRs. Roberts almost surely have more Rs and RBIs will be about even. Roberts will probably steal 20-25 from here forward. The X factor is Vidro's historical health problems and the fact that Roberts started off hot last year and then tapered off.
In summation, I think it is fairly even but I would rather have Roberts, especially if I am in a roto league and think that 20-25 steals can make a big impact in the standings.
