I think this is considered a 5x5 league. Head to Head. Catergories are: Batting Average, Runs, RBI, HR, SB, ERA, WHIP, Wins, Saves, Strikeouts. I would say I have decent knowledge of baseball but have never played fantasy baseball before.

Please give an honest opinion on my team. Thanks for taking the time.

I currently have on my roster:
Hitters:
C Ivan Rodriguez (Det-C)
1B Carlos Delgado (Fla-1B)
2B Jose Reyes (NYM-2B,SS)
SS Miguel Tejada (Bal-SS)
3B Scott Rolen (Stl-3B)
OF Corey Patterson (ChC-OF)
OF Sammy Sosa (Bal-OF)
OF Jason Bay (Pit-OF)
Util Aubrey Huff (Tam-1B,3B,OF)
BN Jason Lane (Hou-OF)
BN Luis Gonzalez (Ari-OF)
BN Edgardo Alfonzo (SF-2B,3B)

Pitchers:
SP Curt Schilling-DL (Bos-SP)
SP Mark Buehrle (ChW-SP)
RP Armando Benitez-DL (SF-RP)
RP Huston Street (Oak-RP)
P Kerry Wood (ChC-SP)
P Jeff Weaver (LAD-SP)
P Mike Mussina (NYY-SP)
BN Brad Penny (LAD-SP)
BN Ryan Wagner (Cin-RP)
BN Chris Young (Tex-SP)

Really, you have quite a solid team...and I mean that. Especially since this is your first season, you've done a solid job in assembling a well-rounded cast. It's always a luxury when you've got a guy like Aubrey Huff on your BENCH, when he would be starting on most other teams in your league.

Some advice...

- Jason Lane may be near the peak of his value. I don't know if I necessarily expect him to keep the pace he's been at. It may be a good time to start exploring trade options for him.

- Drop Armando Benitez. He's out for at least four months, which would tentatively slate him for an early September comeback. By that time, the output you'll get out of him won't be offset by what you'll be missing by wasting a roster spot. If you want a closer, look for stop-gaps like Brazoban or Tavarez, lower-tier guys like Chad Cordero, Turnbow, or Burgos, or struggling closers who other managers have hastily dropped. If Joe Borowski is available, he may prove valuable for the Cubs after coming off the DL.

- Who is Chris Young? He isn't listed as an option in my Yahoo! player pool. My only guess is he is a middle reliever. Since I haven't heard of him, ever, I'll guess he's only mediocre. Check other options, such as Betancourt and Marte.

Pay attention to the news, and sources like Fanball, Roto News, and Rotoworld. Watch ESPN's bottom line for injury/player updates. Heed the advice that others give you here, and you should continue to be in good shape. Good luck!
