Not sure if that was directed to me, but if so, Patterson isn't on my team, and he never will be on my team (well, this season at least). Of course, Furcal isn't either.

Wow...you think you can predict the coming of Ben Sheets II now! HAHAHA! You've lost your mind, bro. You better hope you are right if you want to have any chance in catching me. bwahahahaha!

But...that's the point. A gm should have the right to deal mediocrity like Furcal for a pitcher would could turn out to have an awesome season. Furcal is Furcal. He's a middle of the pack ss in a 12 team league. That's it. If this was Arod being traded for Patterson, I'd agree with you. But it isn't. It's Furcal. Vetoing this deal is beyond ludicrous

Those are impressive!!!
Don't make me pull up Ben Sheets' 2003 stats.
Or Oliver Perez's, for that matter. It's possible that Patterson will fade, but it's also possible that he'll put up a nice season. He could easily end up more valuable than Furcal this season. Certainly, he's not proven, but that doesn't mean he won't have a good season. Obviously, it's not a guarantee, but I definitely don't think this trade should be vetoed. Patterson's start this year has earned him some value, and regardless of how much you value him personally, I think that this value can't be ignored when judging the fairness of a trade.
