I had always liked Gammons on baseball tonight, but I have noticd in the last couple of weeks that I can't even understand what he is trying to say. he just kinda rambles and he gets some words out but can't really convey what he is trying to say. Has he always been like this and I just missed it....or is this a recent thing....or am I just crazy?

I am getting skeptical about him also. He picked his preseason NL MVP to be Nomar. NL Cy Young to be Pedro. AL MVP to be David Ortiz. I think he probably picked Shilling as his AL Cy Young as well but I don't remember. I stopped listening to him as he is just a correspondant for the NE biased ESPN honks. He will throw in an Adrian Beltre is the greatest 3B outside of AROD every once in a while to make himself appear that he cares about anyone besides the Sox and the Yanks.

He's been slipping ever since his picture appeared on the new $20 bill.

Gammons has been a sham for quite some time now. Don't ask me when the tide turned, but now he pretty much bases everything from this month's stats and a players name.
Help please:

Exactly, he said "Nook Logan is my new favorite player" yesterday on BBTN. I like him too, but not because of his name (because of his speed).

Ah...Gammons always sounds like that. It is better when you can't understand a word he is saying as that is when he make sthe most sense. All that means is that his eyes are going bad trying to read the memo Epstein wrote for him.

One of the Fantasy baseball commandments is to avoid any player or team that he backs, because they do the opposite of what he thinks.
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray

True, I remember the Affeldt backing he gave last year (when he was a starter, lol).
Come to think about it, who has he predicted to do well that actually did do well?
