any word on hidalgo?

I know he's inconsistent but this is ridiculous...is there something wrong with him (other than the usual)...he came out of spring trainging swinging such a hot bat I know its just spring but he can't make any kind of contact at all right now...he's riding the bench for me but I'm considering dropping him...ya think that's advisable?

depends who is available. if there's a cliff floyd out there who is playing well right now, go ahead. it's not really ridiculous that hidalgo is playing poorly, he has been inconsistent over the course of his career. in the near future he should be losing a decent amount of time to gary matthews(sp), but of course he may eventually turn it around
