In 1977 Garry Templeton walked 15 times and was caught stealing 24 times. Since both leagues began keeping caught stealing records in 1950 it is the largest deficit of BB - CS and something only accomplished 4 times by a player who qualified for the batting title.

Who is the only player who has had more CS than BB twice in his career? (500+ AB since 1950)

I had posted this before in a thread about how awful of a leadoff hitter Alex Sanchez is. He is always right on the edge of joining this elite club.

The answer is Ozzie Guillen. In 1991 he was caught stealing 15 times and walked 11 times. In 1989 he had 17 CS and 15 BB. Guillen, Templeton, and Damaso Garcia are the only players to make the club.
