Lyon Or Dejean?

Postby YankFan51 » Sat May 17, 2003 5:31 pm

I just traded for Dejean, since i don't trust Lyon's stuff to be a good closer for the long haul. Thoughts?

Go with DeJean. At least he has a track record of success as a closer (27 saves last year, with a decent ERA). He also is pretty secure as the Brewer's closer. Lyon could easily lose his closing job any day now to Robert Person, or the Sox's new bullpen flavour of the day. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Red Sox bring in an established closer any day now.
