is Billy Butler really as good as they say he is?

He can hit but his defense is very shaky. Chances are a change in posistions is coming. Teahan is in front of him. Harvey possibly at first. I think his value drops if he moves from third. Not may good AL prospects coming up at third base. First baseman are a dime a dozen.

i dont consider him "cant miss" just yet..... he is a very good prospect right now, but still needs to show me more to get into the young, marte, felix type range

Yeah, I don't consiider him a can't miss type player. Because when iit comes to H.S. hitters they can be fairly risky, and only the Griffy's/A-Rod's deserve the can't miss label.

Butler is right there with Nelson though, for the best bat to come out of the 2004 draft. With the polish he has shown already for such a young hitter, it seems he won't have any plate disicipline issues. I'd say he very well could be a top prospect after this year, he has played better then I thought he would.
